CINEMACON
From 2 to 1! Here my journey to creating a whole new brand for two conventions that turned into one.
OVERVIEW
As the brand designer in a small studio we had the task of helping create completely new branding for a convention that consolidated trade shows from the east and west coasts.
Cinemacon is a huge movie entertainment event that was created to merge ShoWest and ShowEast into one national convention. A brand had to be created to use for the convention itself but also for every aspect of promoting the convention. A logo design and style guide were design and created to help the brand grow as new applications are created.

THE RESEARCH
CinemaCon is a convention in Las Vegas that brings everyone from the movie and theater industry into one place to for the latest in theater experiences. From exclusive Hollywood product presentations debuting a slate of upcoming films, to must-see premiere feature screenings, to the biggest stars, producers and directors, CinemaCon jumpstarts the excitement and buzz that surrounds the holiday season at the box office.
THE WORK
The aim was to create something completely different than what existed before. It wasn't just combining two shows but revamping the whole idea of what the convention should/could be. The logo was create with a strong punch, powerful and fun feel.
THE LAUNCH
Once delivered the interanal team had a lot of fun and liberty to meet every design need with from big signage, to the smallest digital piece. The new logo and brand allowed itself to be flexible in any need the convention needed moving forward.
