OZOMATLI 30 REVOLUTIONS TOUR POSTER
OVERVIEW
An amazing band from Los Angeles has made waves in the music industry, created music and art that has made history and continues to amaze and aww their fans with amazing concerts and tours. So much so that they've been doing it for 30 years! Here's how I created their 30 Revolutions Tours poster along side social, venue graphics and merch.
THE RESEARCH
The band reached out to have an poster done for such an amazing achievement that will speak to their audience. Speak to the city that they started in, Los Angeles and be subtly relevant to the the current political climant.
With thisi in mind my research took me back to the time when house parties were the heart of the people. Party crews made waves through out the scenes and MTV showed us the best of music and artists of the time.
That was the vibe and feeling Ozo wanted to convey, where it all started from.
THE WORK
Going through several explorations and revisions, I came to a final design that spoke to the band, the people it wanted to play music for and to the culture of Los Angeles
THE POSTER
With a short timeframe, I was able to create the voice of the band and what the tour means for them.
